Write session notes without uploading audio

You can create and save session notes without a recording. Written sessions are free to create and do not use an audio session from your monthly allowance.

1. Open Create a session.
2. Add the session title and date.
3. Select Write notes instead.
4. Write or paste your notes.
5. Save the session.

Use written sessions for planning notes, short recaps, or game nights you could not record.

What written notes do not do

Written notes stay as written notes. They do not create speaker labels, build a generated recap, or automatically add journal and world updates. If you want to bring an existing campaign into the world builder, use campaign import instead.

A written session cannot later be changed into an audio session. Create a new session if you decide to upload a recording.
