Create a read-only campaign key under Public API, which you reach through Settings, then API. Managing it is limited to the campaign owner. Every campaign holds a single active Public API key for tools that read its public content.
Create and copy a key
- Open the campaign you want to connect.
- Open Settings from the campaign name in the sidebar.
- Pick API, then look at the campaign name beneath Public API.
- Press Generate key.
- Save the full key somewhere private, using Copy key next to Key.
The full key shows up once, right when you create it. Copy it before you leave the page. Since Prefix displays only a portion of the key, reach for Regenerate when you misplace the full key.
Any person holding the key can read the public parts of this campaign. Store it on your server or in your tool's private settings.
Regenerate a key
Go to Settings, then API, and pick Regenerate beneath Public API. Confirm with Regenerate in the dialog.
The key you had before stops working right away. To keep the replacement, use Copy key, then update every connected tool that relied on the old key.
Revoke a key
Go to Settings, then API, and pick Revoke beneath Public API. Confirm with Revoke in the dialog.
Requests made with that key fail right away. If you later want to connect a tool again, you can press Generate key.
For requests, returned content and examples, see the developer documentation.
