Why These Exist
Essential digital tools for the modern DM
The days of carrying three heavy binders and a sack of dice are over (unless you like the workout). The modern Dungeon Master relies on a digital toolkit to keep the game moving. Speed is the name of the game, and every one of the tools on this page was built to solve a specific bottleneck we kept running into at our own tables.
Why use digital tools?
- Math is hard: Let a calculator handle the magic item prices so you don't accidentally crash your game's economy with a chaotic Bag of Holding fire-sale.
- Memory is fallible: Use a session recorder or recap generator. Don't rely on your brain to remember the NPC's name from three months ago, especially the one your players now think is the main villain.
