Fix world entry links and duplicates

Duplicates usually appear when the same person or place is written several ways, or when overlapping campaign material is imported more than once.

Choose one main entry

Keep the entry with the most accurate details. Move any useful information from the extra entry into it, then remove the extra entry from the world.

Add alternate names

Add nicknames, titles, shortened names, and common misspellings as aliases on the main entry. For example, “Captain Veyra” and “Veyra” should lead to one character page.

Repair a wrong link

1. Open the session note or wiki page containing the link.
2. Edit the linked text.
3. Remove the incorrect mention.
4. Type @ and choose the correct world entry.
5. Save the page.

Avoid duplicates during import

Start with one complete import, review every suggestion, and remove entries you already created. If two source documents describe the same character, combine that material before importing when practical.

If an entry cannot be edited or removed, email [email protected] with the campaign name and the two entry names.
